JAMES WOODROW FORSYTH,  passed away peacefully July 26th, 2010 at the age of 91.
           
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He and  his late wife served 3 LDS missions and many years as temple workers.  He had a great love and gift for caring for and training horses and continued to ride and train them up until his 90th year.
           
He was predeceased by his wife, Lila Fern Caldwell and son Randall Woodrow and daughter-in-law Joan Broadhead and great grandson Tanner Jacobs.
             
He leaves on earth to continue his legacy;  his son James Eldon, daughters Diana Jacobs (Ron), Cheryl Collins (Gary), sons Merlin (Delores), Calvin, Gordon, Brent (Karen), and Doug (Donna).  He also leaves a brother Charles (Thea) and sisters Marr Draper, Rhea Forsyth and Donna Purnell (Glenn), 41 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and countless extended family and friends who hold fond memories of a humble and loving man whom they will deeply miss.
           
In celebration of his life, relatives and friends may meet the family at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Temple Street Chapel, Cardston on Friday, August 6th, 2010 from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the Service.
           
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Temple Street Chapel, Cardston on Friday, August 6th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain View, Alberta.

WESTON ELI MITCHELL, beloved Son of Mike and Cathy Mitchell.
        
It is with much love and sorrow that Weston Eli Mitchell’s family and friends say goodbye to him.
Weston was born June 21, 1987 in Vancouver, BC. He grew up outside of Fort St John, BC.  After graduating from North Peace Senior Secondary School in Fort St John he faithfully served a 2 year mission in Indiana for the LDS church. After his mission he lived in Cardston and Lethbridge, AB. He left this earthly world to go home to his Heavenly Father early in the morning Monday, July 26, 2010 as a result of a tragic auto accident Saturday night. Weston is survived by his many family and friends.
No words can express our love for Weston and the pain of this loss. 
        
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Temple Street Chapel, Cardston, Alberta on Friday, July 30th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Cardston Cemetery, Cardston, Alberta. 
        
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to McMan Youth Family and Community Services - FASD Lifespan Program, 203,  517 -  4th Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB   T1J 0N4 to benefit others living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.

ELENA MARGARETHA SHEEN of Cardston, Alberta, beloved wife of the late Grant Sheen, passed away peacefully with her family at her side in Cardston on Monday, July 26, 2010 at the age of 97 years.
She is the loving mother of: twin boys: Norman (Alice) and Raymond (Chris); Stanley (Eileen); Gordon (deceased) (Linda), Kenneth (Barbara); and Carol (Fred) Johnson. Helena also leaves behind 24 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Lily Carlson, and a brother, Alfred Korsan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Helena is predeceased by her husband Grant Moroni Sheen in 1988; her son, Gordon Sheen in 2005, two sisters, Margaret and Jean, one brother, Harold, and her parents Oscar and Martha Korsan.
Helena’s parents immigrated to Canada shortly after their marriage in Oslo, Norway, in 1911, and Helena was born in Outlook, Saskatchewan on November 16, 1912. She is the oldest in a family of three daughters and two sons. Helena’s father secured work with the Canadian Pacific Railway and moved to Jefferson, Alberta, when Helena was a young girl.  She met Grant Sheen in Jefferson and they were married on November 13, 1934, in Cardston, Alberta.  To that union were born five boys and one girl. She lived in various towns in southern Alberta for the remainder of her life, retiring to Cardston from their farm in Taylorville.
Mom loved to be surrounded by her family and had a wonderful memory for dates. She could remember every child, grandchild, and great-grandchild’s name and birthday right up to her 97th year.  She had a keen and alert mind right up to the time of her death.  She loved to sew and crochet and made numerous quilts and baby blankets for all her children and grandchildren.  The year she was 90 years old, she made over 62 quilts for her family. She was also an avid reader and read the newspaper every day.   She was a wonderful cook, and loved gardening, doing jigsaw puzzles, and growing beautiful flowers.  As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she diligently fulfilled her callings including a mission to the Family History Center in Salt Lake City. Most important to her was her family and her eternal companion, Grant. Helena’s delicious meals, especially her apple pies, her sense of humor and many creative talents will be greatly missed, but her legacy and love of life will always be celebrated by her family.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, SOUTH HILL CHAPEL, Cardston on Thursday, July 29th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Clay Leavitt Officiating. Friends may meet the family at the Church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the Service. Interment in the Cardston Cemetery.

N. DEAN BURROWS, beloved husband of Mildred Pearl ‘Millie’ Burrows, passed away in Cardston, AB on July 5th, 2010 at the age of 80 years.

He was born, raised, and lived in Mountain View during his life. Besides his wife, he is survived by 5 stepchildren: Heather from Pincher Creek, Robert from Robson, BC, Gail from Creston, BC, Opal from Hanna, Utah, Scott Crossfield from Cardston; 36 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren

The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mountain View, AB. on Saturday, July 10th at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Bruce Johnson Officiating. Friends may meet the family at the Church  from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the Service.   Interment in the Mountain View  Cemetery.
