Cardston and District Historical Society Film Night

The Cardston and District Historical Society will be showing the documentary film, “The Hutterites”, at the Cardston Courthouse Museum at 7:00 PM on Friday, May 28, 2010. This film was produced in 1964 by Cardston-born filmmaker Colin Low. With only a cameraman and a soundman, Colin Low spent three weeks living on a Hutterite Colony and filmed their day-to-day activities. This film examines the history of the Hutterites and how it had affected their present day way of life.
There is no charge for this event and everyone is welcome.

Community Clean Up

The Moses Lake Community Clean up has now been rescheduled for Saturday June 5 (weather permitting). The youth will not be cleaning the highways this year, but are invited to help with the clean up of Moses Lake. Please meet at gymnasium in Moses Lake at 8:00 a.m. Lunch will be at provided at 1:30 p.m. Please bring a salad or a plate of cookies to share. If the weather is unfavorable on that day, this event will be canceled for the remainder of this year.

Cardston Soccer

The Town of Cardston has requested soccer stays off the fields this week and officially start on Monday, May 17. Enjoy your weekend of Sunshine!
You will see, baseball starting up today but there is a difference between 10 kids on a diamond and 525 kids on a field.

Community Clean-up

The Community Clean-up has been moved to Saturday, May 8. All scheduled times and meeting places will remain the same. Thank you, Community Clean-up Committee

Cardston and District Historical Society Film Night

The Cardston and District Historical Society will be showing the documentary film, “City of Gold”, at the Cardston Courthouse Museum at 7:00 PM on Friday, April 30, 2010. This film was produced in 1957 by Cardston-born filmmaker Colin Low and is about the Klondike Gold Rush and Dawson City, Yukon. It was written and narrated by the Canadian historian Pierre Berton. This historical documentary received numerous awards in North America and Europe as well as an Oscar nomination.
There is no charge for this event and everyone is welcome.

Garbage Pick Up for the week of Dec. 7, 2009

Because all of the roads are not all the way clear garbage pick up will be postponed until next week. However, if it is your garbage day and your street is clear we will try and get to you. Unfortunately we will not be able to reach everyone this week. Garbage for the week of Dec. 14, 2009 will run as normally scheduled.
